Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum

Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum provides a caring and inclusive environment for kids of all ages to explore and learn. The exhibits here are designed to get your kids’ imagination running wild, integrating education into playtime! Your kids can manipulate the block puzzle that features six different images of Vermont wildlife, curl up with a good book in the reading chair, or create a masterpiece at the clay modeling table. There’s even a special infant/toddler space for kids two and younger!

Other exhibits include the diner, farmer’s market, magnetic wall, train tracks, wind tunnel, and so much more! Visit Wonderfeet Kids’ Museum at 11 Center Street in Rutland. Every member of your group pays just $5 for entry, except for kids under 1 year old, who are free! The Museum is open on select days from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Chaffee Art Center

Looking for Killington things to do that add a little culture to your itinerary? Bring the family to the Chaffee Art Center! Founded in 1961, the Rutland Area Art Association is a non-profit that operates under the name “Chaffee Art Center.” You’ll find the art inside an incredible Queen Anne Victorian Mansion built from 1892-1895.

The building is absolutely jaw-dropping, and that’s all before you even get to the unbelievable artwork inside!

The Chaffee Art Center is always bringing the community into the world of art with programs like the Artist of the Month and the annual Art in the Park Summer Festival. You can come browse exhibits featuring talented local artists, or try to bring out your own creative side with adult classes and kids’ programs! The possibilities are truly endless. The Chaffee Art Center is located at 16 South Main Street. Art Center gallery hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 12-4 p.m., and classes have their own specific schedules.
