Nestled in the hills of North Chittenden, Baird Farm Maple Syrup is a must-try. For over 100 years, this family farm has been producing some of the finest syrup in Vermont. Maple syrup has been produced there, even long before they moved onto the farm.

Keep it classic with their original flavors, or go adventurous with their infused syrups. Their infused syrups come either spruce-infused or mint-infused. You can add a little extra flavor to a cocktail, tea, or breakfast! And if you’re looking for something different, try their maple ketchup!

Baird Farms is open from Wednesdays to Mondays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They close every Tuesday.

Maple Sugar & Vermont Spice

Looking for some historic farms that have been producing maple syrup goods for years? Sugar and Spice Farms is a historic Vermont maple syrup farm that descends from Civil War General Edward H. Ripley. All the old buildings are still on the farm for visitors to see. Not only is this a farm that produces all the grades of maple syrup, but they also have a family restaurant! Each meal gets cooked with only the freshest ingredients. There is something on the menu for the whole family to enjoy.

Located in Mendon Vermont, Sugar and Spice farms is open every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New England Maple Museum

If you’re looking for something both fun and educational, come check out the New England Maple Museum! The history of sugar mapling is painted in murals by local artists. The museum has hundreds of maple sugaring artifacts on display. Each piece teaches all about the history of how maple syrup gets harvested and produced. Their sugarhouse is one of the first green sugarhouses in Vermont. Built from reclaimed barns and solar panels, this sugarhouse utilizes green energy to craft their maple syrup!

This Vermont gift shop has a wide range of things for sale. Not only do they sell their own maple syrup, but they also sell creams, candy, cookies, popcorn, and jellybeans! They also carry foods produced from local farms as well as souvenirs and trinkets.

Located in Pittsford, Vermont, the New England Maple Museum is open every day. They welcome all walk-ins and appointments.
