Driving

By car, Killington is within easy driving distance from major New England cities, perfect for a long-weekend getaway with the family. Killington is located approximately:

  • 3.5 hours from both Providence, RI, and Portland, ME
  • Boston and Worcester are a 3-hour drive

Directions to Killington are quite straightforward. Follow Route 4 across Vermont, and you can’t miss it. Killington is in the middle of the state, central to everything. 

Round-trip bus services are available from New York City through Ovrride, which offers pick up locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan to Killington Resort. The transportation can be purchased along with lift tickets. This service is available on weekends during the winter season.

New England Snow Bus provides a similar service during winter season, picking passengers up from locations in Boston, Andover, and Rockland and bringing them to Killington Resort. Lift tickets may also be purchased with transportation.

Daily scheduled buses run from Burlington, VT, Albany, NY, and Hanover, NH, through Vermont Translines. Passengers are dropped off at the Killington Welcome Center. From Rutland, VT, hourly bus services are available through the Bus to Killington. 

Train

If you prefer the good, old-fashioned scenic route, Amtrak offers daily service between New York City and Rutland, VT, by way of Albany. From Rutland, catch one of the hourly buses to Killington Resort. 

Alternatively, those traveling from farther distances on a budget may use Amtrak to reach New York and from there transfer to Rutland. 

Air

Vacationers traveling greater distances will likely find flight the most convenient form of travel. Depending on your departure airport, budget, and other factors, there are numerous international and regional airports to choose from.
